Born into an illustrious and well-respected political dynasty and an accomplished lawyer himself, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had a real chance to make a positive impact upon the world, especially in the area of environmental law, where he took legal action to clean up waterways.

Sadly over the last two decades, he has gotten sucked into the world of the antivax movement, making false claims about vaccine ingredients that scared some parents into withholding vaccines from their children, leading to measles outbreaks from Minnesota to Samoa.

Also troubling is the fact that despite coming from a family known for being supportive of civil rights and equality, he has frequently espoused pseudoscientific racist theories and also compared vaccination to the Holocaust. He seems to particularly target communities of color when spreading misinformation. Kennedy may claim he wants to end the divisiveness in our country, but instead, he worsens it with his rhetoric.
